Percy&Sandra

Percy & Sandra Hornery

Founders of Bar H Grazing

Percy is a visionary and pioneer of his time, one of the first graziers in Australia to realise that the cattle industry in Australia needed to produce better quality meat. It is our honour to have Percy overseeing the operations at River Lea, offering his profound wisdom, knowledge, and experience on all things Wagyu, ensuring the staff at Bar H live out his vision for the breed.

Sandra, as the matriarch of the Hornery family, creates an environment of warmth and her generosity of spirit makes everyone feel welcome. As one of the founders of Bar H Grazing, Sandra assists in the day-to-day activities at River Lea and works closely with the dogs and horses, making sure they are always in prime condition for their duties at River Lea.

Que Hornery

Managing Director

Que believes that leadership is an action not a position. With a fiery passion for genetics and sustainable agriculture, Que is continuously advancing the Bar H brand through the quality of the wagyu herd, whilst collaborating with producers to improve their herds.

His knowledge of Wagyu genetics and modern grazing practises allows him to provide great leadership to the Bar H team.

The everyday practices at River Lea demonstrate his commitment to the quality and breed of Australian wagyu.
